Nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar AS (USD/IDR) naik 0,1% menjadi 15.370 pada hari Senin, 18 September 2023. USD/IDR IDR selama satu bulan saat ini berada di 5.34%, naik dari 5.235% pada hari Jumat lalu.
Rupiah melemah sedikit terhadap dolar AS pada awal pekan ini, karena investor bersiap untuk serangkaian pertemuan bank sentral, termasuk Bank Indonesia dan Federal Reserve.
Namun, para analis mengatakan, pelemahan rupiah diperkirakan hanya bersifat sementara. Dalam jangka panjang, rupiah diperkirakan akan menguat seiring dengan membaiknya kondisi ekonomi Indonesia.
Bank Indonesia sendiri diperkirakan akan mempertahankan suku bunga acuannya pada pertemuan minggu ini. Namun, BI tidak menutup kemungkinan untuk menaikkan suku bunga jika inflasi terus meningkat.
CATATAN: Keputusan BI dijadwalkan pada tanggal 21 September, setelah keputusan dari Federal Reserve.
Yield obligasi Indonesia dengan tenor 10 tahun naik sebesar 2 basis poin menjadi 6.71%, dan global funds menjual bersih sekitar $97.4 juta obligasi Indonesia pada tanggal 13 September.
The Fed akan mengadakan pertemuan Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) pada 19 – 20 September 2023. Sedangkan jadwal Rapat Dewan Gubernur (RDG) BI berlangsung pada 20 – 21 September 2023. CME Fedwatch menunjukkan 99% investor yakin The Fed akan menahan suku bunga acuan di level 5,25% – 5,50% dalam FOMC bulan ini.
